Bai Tu Long National Park belongs to Bai Tu Long Bay, Van Don District, about 200km east from Hanoi. On May 5, 2017 Bai Tu Long National Park (Quang Ninh) has recently been recognized as ASEAN Heritage Garden.

Bai Tu Long NP is unique in the national parks of Vietnam as well as the world when it has three typical ecosystems: mountain ecosystems; limestone mountains and caves; sea. With a total area of more than 15,000 ha, of which forest area is 6,000 ha with over 40 islands and 9,000 ha of sea surface, waterfalls and floodplains. In the ecological area of Ba Mun island, Minh Chau commune is the core area of the national park.

This national park is home to nearly 500 species of plants belonging to 117 families, including many rare and valuable plants. In addition to the abundance of plants, Bai Tu Long National Park is also a collection of rare animals of Vietnam with 37 species of birds. There are 9 species listed in the Red Book of Vietnam such as: wild boar, wild deer, yellow monkey, chamois … marine animals here are also many with 391 species, there are many species of high economic value such as: abalone, seagull, sea cucumber, mussels,…

At the foot of the islands of the national park there are many puddles, humid tidal land or narrow sandy beaches, rocky … with beautiful scenery and windy atmosphere. Around the island, bank is formed by the knob of stone, steep cliff. In the rocky island there are many beautiful caves, such as Cai De cave, Soi Nhu cave … which is a place to keep traces of ancient Vietnamese people from the old stone age two thousand years ago. Especially Minh Chau beach with fine white sand, smooth wave, is considered the most beautiful beach in the Gulf of Tonkin.

Bat Cave is located in the area of Cai Lim, on Tra Ngo Lon island, this is a forest of about 10ha with a variety of plants and animals. End of the mangrove forest is the cave is home to thousands of bats.
