Discover more of Lan Ha Bay on a 3-day, 2-night journey aboard Calypso Cruise. Designed for travelers who want more time to explore beyond the main cruise routes, this extended itinerary combines cave exploration, kayaking, island activities and relaxing moments onboard.

Your journey begins with a cruise from Tuan Chau through Halong Bay toward Lan Ha Bay, followed by an excursion to Dark & Bright Cave. Explore the calm waters by traditional rowing boat or kayak before returning to the cruise for swimming, sunset views and a relaxing evening onboard.

Day 2 takes you deeper into Lan Ha Bay. Transfer to a day boat and continue to Viet Hai Village on Cat Ba Island, a peaceful community surrounded by the mountains and forests of Cat Ba National Park. Cycle approximately 5 km through the island or choose an electric car for a more comfortable journey.

In the afternoon, continue by day boat to the Tai Quéo Cave area for kayaking through a scenic tunnel cave and exploring the calm waters often described as a natural “Dragon Eye”. The journey continues to Ba Trai Dao (Three Peaches) Beaches, where you can enjoy the surrounding scenery and relax before returning to Calypso Cruise.

On the final morning, visit Military Hospital Cave (Quân Y Cave) on Cat Ba Island before returning to Tuan Chau.

With two nights onboard and a full day dedicated to exploring Lan Ha Bay and Cat Ba Island, Calypso Cruise 3 Days 2 Nights offers a more immersive alternative to a short overnight cruise, combining active adventures with plenty of time to relax and enjoy the bay.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

12h15 – 13h00

From Tuan Chau wharf, Tuan Chau island of Ha Long city, we go to Calypso Cruise by small boat. A warmly welcome drinks will be served upon arrival the cruise then has a short time for check in proceeds: get a brief introduction and safety guidelines then check in

Have lunch while cruising in the magnificent Ha Long Bay, admiring the fascinating nature, then anchor at Lan Ha Bay area.

15h00

Join a guide to explore hidden parts of the bay, the area of Dark and Bright cave where to goes through the cave, under the mountain to a lake which is formed by a Karst – well, like a dragon eye inside the mountain. This is a very beautiful sight that visitors like the most. You share a sampan with other tourists with a local rower OR taking a kayak on your own.

Return to Calypso Cruises for changing swimming suits then join swimming time in the sea or at the swimming pool on sundeck.

Enjoy happy hours with various drinks on discounts, try swimming pool and charming the bay with our handsome bartenders. Sun set can be seen from the sundeck if it is a lucky day.

Take part in a cooking demonstration and food décor with our Chef.

Join dinner at Calypso Cruises restaurant.

20h30 – 22h00

Time of relaxation after a day on sundeck, leisure in room for watching films, sing karaoke in restaurant or go to tender for squid fishing with cruise staffs.

Overnight in Lan Ha Bay.

Wake up early to enjoy the dawn and start a perfect new day with Tai Chi exercise on the sundeck.

7h00 – 7h45

Have a light breakfast in the restaurant.

8h00 – 9h00

Get pick up by a small day-boat and cruise through Lan Ha Bay before disembark at Viet Hai dock.

10h00

Go cycling a short trip of 5km to Viet Hai village – a small village in the midst of the jungle, surrounded by the high mountain ranges of Cat Ba National Park. The area has become popular with foreign tourists, without attracting the mass tourism so that it is still very rustic. For those who are not fancy with cycling will be arranged by electric car.

Return to the dock and board our day-boat again to sail further to the other side of Lan Ha Bay.

12h00

The day-boat anchors for a peaceful lunch.

13h00-14h00

Kayaking around Tai Quéo cave area, a tunnel cave, to a lake like “Dragon eye”.

14h00 – 14h30

We move on to Ba Trai Dao (Three Peaches) Beaches.

14h30 – 15h30

Enjoy finger fruits dishes while cruising back to Calypso Cruises.

16h00 – 16h30

Return to Calypso Cruises. Enjoy the happy hours on Sundeck or relaxing in your cabins.

Dinner in the restaurant and enjoy the activities on board.

Overnight in Lan Ha Bay.

Welcome a new day with amazing dawn on the Legendary Gulf of Tonkin. Refresh your body & soul by a Tai-chi lesson on sundeck.

07h00 – 7h45

Have a breakfast in the restaurant.

Then you take a bus route for about 20 minutes on Cat Ba Island from Gia Luan Pier to visit Quân Y Cave (Military Hospital Cave), a special place to save the significant of Karst in million years. During the travel, you will be immersed in the wild fresh natural scenery of Cat Ba National Park.

Return to Calypso Cruises for shower. Check out of your room.

9h30 – 10h30

An early lunch will be severed. After paid the bills, a small boat will take all of us to Tuan Chau wharf.

11h00- 11h15

Calypso cruises end at Tuan Chau wharf.
