Onboard Safety

Vietnam was recently voted one of the most stable regions in Asia and as a result, the threat of instability is virtually non-existent.

Halong Bay is a popular tourist destination and (as with anywhere in the world) there is possibility petty theft. Therefore we ask that you be mindful of your possessions and avoid carrying large amounts of cash or valuables about your person. We ask that you give any valuables that you may have with you to our friendly boat manager to secure in the boat safe.

Our staff takes all necessary precautions to ensure that your journey with us is safe and secure. Our boats are maintained every six months and have daily technical supervision.

Our boats are equipped with life rafts and life vests are available in all cabins and public areas. We have fire detection and security measures in place and all passengers are briefed on emergency and evacuation procedures.

Vietnamese government regulations require that all travelers must register with the local authorities. As a result, please ensure that you bring your passport with you and provide your passport and visa information at the time of booking.

Our staff may request your passport and hold onto it while you are cruising with us. Please do not be alarmed at this request as this is part of the government regulations. We will look after your passport and return it to you at the end of your cruise.
